When selecting a field in the Fields list of a a visual, I would like to apply COALESCE (default 0) to a measure - similar to "show value as"->"percent of grand total". Rather than see a (Blank) on a card visual, I typically prefer 0 or "N/A". This currently requires applying COALESCE in the measure, which causes issues for other visuals (ex. trends) where the measure now always yields a result for every grouping. The suggestion above would allow me to fix this in the visual rather than create a second measure simply to perform the COALESCE function.

Yes this would be nice feature and I totally agree about the downfalls of applying coalesce to your "normal measure." You have to create secondary measures for specific use-cases otherwise coalesce(default 0) will bite you somewhere else in another visual. Deceptively too. You won't know something's wrong until it's reported.
Replacing nulls with 0s as default setting in matrices / tables would be much appreciated so we don't have to damage the integrity of the model / measure or create tech debt with secondary measures that are effectively the same thing with visual flair.
