It should be possible to give access to an AD group in a RLS role. Currently only distribution lists are supported if you're using Office 365 for mail.
anyone else think it's silly, that 6 years after this post was made we still can't connect PBI to dynamic distribution lists in O365, and that we need to vote to add a feature that should just be standard?
