Community ChampionSounds to me like you are using the normal version of Power BI Desktop when you need to be using the Power BI Desktop RS version. If you have the RS version then you can publish to the Report Server otherwise you cannot. Each release of Power BI Report Server has a corresponding version of the Desktop that you must use. I believe the latest and greatest is October. Note, that does NOT mean that you can use the "normal" October version of Power BI Desktop, you must use the October version of Power BI Desktop RS.
