Yet none of the answers come with the actual price.

 

Which is the cheapest solution to have a serial number for Power BI Reporting Server.


I have to report this cost to a client, but I can't, nobody knows, everybody just says look on that thread, go here, have a look there...

Well I don't think you're going to get a simple cut and dry answer, because "it depends!" :)  If I was in your shoes, I'd start here:

And then I would talk to whomever provides my SQL Server licensing, and figure out what it'd cost to get a SQL Enterprise license with SA, and then you have something to compare against.
