Report Scheduling
- Anonymous2 years ago
Hi Anonymous ,
Power BI Report Server does allow you to schedule reports and Power BI Report Server can schedule the refresh of data within the reports, but it does not inherently have a feature to automatically send these reports as Excel files via email. To achieve a similar outcome, you can use Power Automate to create a flow that exports a Power BI report in the specified format and sends it as an email attachment.
Here are the general steps you would follow:
- Create your report in Power BI Desktop and publish it to Power BI Report Server.
- Configure the data refresh schedules within Power BI Report Server as needed.
- Use Power Automate to set up a flow that exports the report to an Excel file and sends it as an email attachment. You can also apply row-level security (RLS) when setting up the flow if necessary.
