Report builder not accepting Date parameter as dd-mm-yyyy

Question

Hi, hope someone can help me.&nbsp;I create a blank report with one parameter.&nbsp; I mark the parameter as datetime so that i can get a calendar.I have one field that references the parameter to see what it shows.If i select a date that is less than 12 days, it swops the month and date. So I guess it wants US date (MM-dd-yyyy) and I want UK (dd-MM-yyyy)&nbsp;My regional settings is (dd-MM-yyyy)I tried Report Localization Language as User language as well as en-GBI cant change anything on the ServerI get this message after selecting a date on the calendarThe value provided for the report parameter 'DateFrom' is not valid for its type. (rsReportParameterTypeMismatch)&nbsp;Any help would be much appreciated.&nbsp;PS I think it is a server setting, but I cant change anything there.&nbsp; Only way out for me would propably doing away with the calendar control and let people put in a text box what date they want.

I would deploy this to the server and test it there. Sometimes you find minor differences in the report builder preview pane compared to the actual server. If it's still a problem on the server then it's definitely worth raising a support ticket.&nbsp;

There is no server setting for the language. There is just the language setting in the report itself and I think the other important thing are the browser settings. see&nbsp;https://darren.gosbell.com/2021/03/fixing-incorrect-date-formats-in-power-bi-report-server-when-using-chrome-or-firefox&nbsp;This definitely works for PBIX based reports so it may also work for RDL reports&nbsp;

Hi, thank you for your reply.&nbsp; I checked the Edge settings, they are fine.&nbsp; Problem is I am still busy with the report in Report Builder which is connected to a report server.&nbsp; Report builder itself does not accept the date.&nbsp; I dont see anything in the options menu.&nbsp; My computer's regional settings is is dd-MM-yyyy.&nbsp; Report builder wants it MM-dd-yyyy

HI Henry,&nbsp; problem not solved.&nbsp; I am waiting to hear from the server administrators.&nbsp; Maybe they have an idea.&nbsp; I tried many settings everywhere and the date still swops around.&nbsp; I am feeling very limited with Report&nbsp; Builder.&nbsp; Sure the problem will persist in BI as well.&nbsp; If I find a solution, I will post it here.&nbsp;Many thanks
