Power BI September 2019 Release Report Upload Problems

Sounds like the user you are running the server as, doesn't have permission to control the files in the install directory (possibly C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Report Server\PBIRS\ReportServer\bin\msmdlocal\Resources)

 

Maybe check the permissions the user has on that directory. Our user that is used for PowerBI RS has read & execute, list folders and read permission on that folder.

    Hello - I did expand permisisons but we continue to have problems uploading to the report server.

     

    2019-11-18 13:46:33.6477|FATAL|1|Could not start PBIXSystem.IO.FileLoadException: Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.PowerBI.Desktop.Resources' or one of its dependencies. Access is denied.
    File name: 'Microsoft.PowerBI.Desktop.Resources'
