Power BI Report Server DB "ReportServer"
Hello,
Is there a way to clean old Active directory groups and users that are no longer used in PowerBI Report server?
We had removed lots of users and AD group from the PBIRS reports' permissions, but still those list of users area visible on [ReportServer].[dbo].[Users].
Thank you!
So there are some periodic clean up jobs that Report Server will run against it's internal database. But neither the database itself or those jobs are documented by Microsoft. But a quick look at the dependencies shows that the Users table is referenced by many other tables. Unless you think these extra records are causing significant performance issues I would not worry about them.
If you are concerned then you should raise an official support ticket with Microsoft. You should definitely not make an changes to the ReportServer database without specific instructions from Microsoft support.
