Paginated Reports: Deployment Rules not allowing server name
When deploying with a paginated report for rules they seem to lack the ability to specify a database server, only a database name.
So, is this not supported with Paginated like it is for a standard PBIX report in PBI Desktop?
Is there anyway to specify a shared data connection string for all the paginated reports?
In SSRS you can make a data connection and put the credentials in that and share it, with each report having their own data set. I don't see a way to do a shared Data Source when using the PBI Paginated report "Power BI Report Builder" tool.
What about things like ApplicationIntent:ReadOnly, etc?
For paginated reports, “deployment rules” don’t currently give you the same level of control you get with PBIX (where you can swap server + database). In most cases, the rule UI is geared toward dataset/database name mapping, not rewriting the full connection string (server, ApplicationIntent, etc.).
