On-Premises update to Gen2

Hello community ,   my questions are  quite simple but as I 'm not experienced enough as platform administrator , I hope you can help me . Currently   my client has an on-premise version of Power ...

    Gen2 gets its extra performance by scaling out certain opertions to other nodes in the cloud. But if you are ONLY using on-prem infrastucture everything is running on the machine where you installed Report Server and there are no other cloud nodes to scale out to.
