Input Slicer
Input Slicer is working with text field and not working with numeric fields. Is it by design? thank you

Hope you are fine and doing great.
In case of numeric field the behavior is different and you need to filter the data for some specific range and it should work.AS an example please refer to below screen shot from Microsoft docs.
