Encountering SSL TLS error in web connection
Hi guys,
I'm trying to connect to a data source using web connection. My web url does not have https so i got the SSL/TLS error. How can I turn off the SSL/TLS check or is there any alternative method to pass this error?

1. Modify Power BI Desktop: do not check for deregistration information

Certificate revocation check, Power BI Desktop - Power BI | Microsoft Learn
2. Try creating a new power query, using Web.Contents().
Open Power BI Desktop and click Get Data > Blank Query.
In the Query Editor, use the Web.Contents() function to connect to your API.
for example:let Source = Web.Contents("http://your-api-url", [Headers=[Authorization="Bearer your-token"]]) in SourceWeb.Contents - PowerQuery M | Microsoft Learn
About authentication methods:
Since you mentioned that you are connecting to another server's API, each API may have a different authentication method, and you will need to contact the corresponding operations staff to find out the specific authentication requirements and how to obtain the necessary token or other authentication information.The Web.Contents() function supports HTTP connections so that SSL/TLS errors can be avoided.

That error usually appears for connections to databases. What type is your data source? An API?
Yes I am trying to retrieve data from an API which the source software is in another server in our local network.
Are you able to resolve the issue?
I am also using WEB API json format and getting same error.

- Disable SSL certificate validation by going to File > Options and Settings > Options > Security, and uncheck the relevant SSL options. Alternatively, if using a self-signed certificate, install it into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities store.
I have unckecked all the relevant settings in option but it did not work. I am trying to retrieve data from an API from another local serever, what do you mean by installing the certificate?
