Branding Power BI Report Server

To Whom It May Concern:

I am not able to upload brand package in Power BI Report Server.  I am trying to Brand our Power BI Report Server with our organization Logo.  I have read through and watched the video that is locaed in the micrsoft.com brand the web portal.  However, in doing so, I am getting the below error.  Please provide feedback, thank you.

  • Good Morning,

Thank You for the feedback.  I discovered what I was doing incorrectly.  After making the adjustments in the json and xml files, I left the files in a folder, copied the folder itself and pasted into a zip file.  This was causing the error.  So, I removed the folder within the zip file, leaving the files only zipped.

Thank You Fabric Community People, specifically Rena.

    Hi lynnma ,

Base on your description, it seems like you are encountering an issue while trying to upload a brand package to Power BI Report Server. Could you please check the following info for further troubleshooting?

    • Check the package format to ensure it is a ZIP file
    • Validate the branding files include appropriate JSON configuration and image files (like logos and backgrounds), and make sure there is no any syntax errors or inconsistencies in the JSON file.
    • Ensure the size of the ZIP file doesn't exceed any limitations
    • Ensure you have the proper permission
