Accessing Dashboards via en external Cloud (without VPN)

Hello,

 

I have some questions about embedding dashboards on websites that only certain customers are allowed to access (for example: by login).

 

Currently I have a cloud. The Cloud has a database and a Windows server. Right now, potential customers are able to access a dashboard via a VPN connection. However, they would first have to login via the VPN, which I would like to avoid. I thought about getting a Domain or open my Cloud to the outside, so there would be no VPN connection needed in future.

 

Now Im not sure which product is right for that case? Would Power BI Premium with Report Server be the right solution or Power BI Embedded?

    Hi yellow_days,

     

    From this idea, Power BI Premium with Report Server is not available to external users right now. It will authenticate your end user — by default, using Integrated Windows Authentication.

     

    As for Power BI embedded, either external users or internal users can view embedded reports if they have access to Power BI. For more information about Power BI embedded, please post questions on Developer forum.
