Your data source can't be refreshed because the credentials are invalid. Please update credentials.

Need help changing credentials please.

 

Situation: Today we switched Microsoft credentials from @XYZinvestments to @XYZbrands. 

 

Problem: Scheduled refresh is now failing.  Was working fine prior to credential switch.  Gateway is still running fine, it says "Online.  You are good to go". 

 

Troubleshooting tried:

1) Restart and log in with new credentials

2) Log in to PowerBI service with new credentials

3) Ensure gateway service is on and running

4) Tried resetting saved credentials

 

How can I resolve the credential error?

    Hi Quinnie2017 

     

    It appears to me that you will need to re-authenticate the credentials for your 3 data sources in your Gateway settings?

      GilbertQ yes indeed that was the case.  And I needed to put my domain name in front of my user name.  For example, XZY\twb311
