Viewing report shows incorrect data momentarily before displaying correct data
We have implemented several embedded reports that have the data loaded into the model and we've noticed an issue with rendering reports. When the report initially loads, it displays seemingly random data for a split second and then the report visuals change and display the correct data. This doesn't seem to be limited to the report being embedded as I can reproduce the same thing when viewing reports directly in the PBI portal.
Is this a known issue and is there any way to prevent it? I would prefer to wait and display the correct data rather than displaying the wrong data while the report loads the correct data.
Thanks,

Anonymous It depends on how fast you are verifying the new data. I've seen this behaviour in that it takes a moment or a bit to refresh the cache. My guess is that this is why you momentarily see the old data, it's the cached dataset that is being dumped and the new dataset showing. In the same respect, if you refreshed and didn't see the new data, that is what the refresh buttons in the report or dashboard would initiate, the refresh of those areas, not refreshing the dataset itself.

Anonymous,

We are trying to reproduce this issue, however, we cannot get the random data. So could you please provide us the details steps with some screenshots, so that we can try to reproduce it and make further analysis.Regards,
