Update alerts dynamically on dashboard when year changes
Hi everyone.
I am creating a dashboard on Power BI Service with different KPI and each of them has alerts. When I pin a KPI to the dashboard it is related to the year selected on a slicer on the report. This is what I need but as I will have new data next year, I will have to create again a new dashboard and pin again each KPI, create each alert and so on. So the question is: is there any way to reuse the same dashboard and change the "year" to all the KPI to the last one available so that the dashboard is updated automatically each year and the alerts keep working just with the new year values?
I know it's a bit difficult to understand the issue so if it's not clear I will try to explain it in a different way.
Thank you in advance!

Hi hasier ,
I would suggest you create a report with the desired visuals on a report page, publish the report to the service, and then configure data refresh for the report .Then pin an entire report page via "Pin a live page" feature to a dashboard. Because pin live page enables changes to reports to appear in the dashboard tile when the page is refreshed.
For more information, please refer to this article: Pin an entire report page, as a live tile, to a Power BI dashboard.

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your reply. I have tried what you explained but I can't set the alarms when I pin the whole report to the dashboard because now the KPIs don't have the 3dots to create the alarms. Is there any way to solve that?
Thank you!

Does anyone know if it is possible to create this alarms that can change the year of the visualizations of the dashboard?
