Time Zone Issue
Hello,
I've got some Power BI reports that pull data from Sharepoint. Some of these fields are datetimes. In PowerBI Desktop, they display correctly (exact same time as the Sharepoint data, which is in MST). In the Power BI service however, they seem to be displaying in UTC. I can't figure out why this is happening, and I'm guessing it's a simple fix because it makes no sense to not display my times as they are in my desktop client. What can I do to get them displaying correctly?

yes that is correct all the datetimes are stored in UTC.
It is not that it is converting anything it is reading from the source, where the source is stored as UTC.
By creating the offset it will allow you to show it with the correct datetime.

This is because all the datetimes are stored as UTC
What you will need to do, is to offset it by your timezone. The result will be in Power BI Desktop it will look wrong. But once uploaded to the Power BI Service and the dataset refreshes it will then be correct. Anonymous

If this post was helpful may I ask you to mark it as solution and click on thumb symbol?So if I'm understanding this correctly, the Power BI Service is converting all of my times to UTC, and because there's no option to disable this conversion I have to offset my times?
The underlying data is all in MST. Why would Power BI be converting all of my times without me telling it to?
