Have you considerd using Power Automate to export the data on a rolling period.
Maybe on a friday night back it up to SharePoint/DataVerse/Excel etc
If you arent sure how to write a dax query there is an easy way to grab some prewritten stuff.
Download the pbix file.
On View toggle on Performance analyzer
Click refresh visuals
Expand the visual you want the code for (or make one first) and click copy query
Paste this into Power Automate:
Then add the step exporting this data to your chosen storage!
Most Valuable ProfessionalA dataflow isn't what you want here, that'll refresh the same way as a semantic model query - you need to store it somewhere, like in a SQL server. If you don't have a real database to put it in, you can use a SharePoint library and store as CSVs, but that's usually a last resort.
