I think the issue relates to new functionality recently released: Announcing Connected Excel Tables from Power BI (Public Preview) | Microsoft Power BI Blog | Microsoft Power BI.
You can revert to the previous method of exporting summary data to Excel by choosing the second option in the dropdown list below.
