    Hi db042190, 

     

    When checked into Git, Fabric uses the PBIP Power BI format, which stores everything as text so that it can be tracked in Git version control. 

     

    If you have a pbix file open in desktop, and you save it as a Power BI Project (PBIP) file, you will see the same file structure that you see in Git.

i guess this is the answer.    and if u want to go straight to a ws, it sounds like git integration can work in reverse from the ws instead of what i show below.
