Small Multiples Drilldown with hierarchy
Hello together,
i have a stacked line and bar chart. that one is split up with small multiples in
15 different departments. now i put every Workplace inside of these 15 departments below the department field inside the small multiples. But after i put it below the departments field i only can Drilldown the Date like from Year to month and back. And if i remove the year so there is just the month it wont work either. It wont show me the opportunity to drill down at all.
How can i Drill down so on the upper level i see the Departments and if i drill down i see the Workplaces?

To enable drilling down from department to workplace, you will need to adjust the drilldown functionality in your stacked line and bar chart. One way to do this is to add the workplace field as a secondary category axis in your chart.
To do this, click on your chart to select it and then go to the "Visualizations" pane. Click on "Axis" and then select "Category" under "Secondary." From there, add the workplace field as a category axis.
Once you have added the workplace field as a category axis, you should be able to drill down from department to workplace by clicking on the department and then selecting the specific workplace you want to view. You may need to adjust the formatting of your chart to make sure that the workplace labels are legible when displayed on the chart.

I had a similar issue and question. I found an alternative solution.
Alternative solution: Create a fields parameter for two or more categories you want to use in your small multiples. Then, add a single-select slicer to the page using the fields parameter and use it as your small multiples data, too. Then, you can switch between the categories using the single-select slicer, effectively simulating the drill-down / drill-up feature.
