Schedule Refresh with Excel in Sharepoint

Hey Friends,

I've got a report that uses an excel file as a source. I need it stored on Sharepoint online.

I've been trying to get it to schedule a refresh so it updates at least once a day.

I've found some different suggestions online that included:

Use the "Excel" connector but switch it to web content and use the URL from the Excel File:

Right Click to get location

I've tried switching it to the "Web Connection" as well.

no matter how I set it up, schedule refresh is grayed out

THere is also some confusing documentation that says it will auto update if it's on sharepoint online, but I'm convinced that's happening.

Any guidance would be great!
