Sales Force Report - Refresh issue

Hello,    Does modifying a reporting in Sales Force that's currently linked with Datasets/Reports remove the connection?   I added 1 addtioanal column to my Sales Force report, then tried refresh...

Hi jnail923,

 

Changing a Salesforce report does not normally remove the connection. In this thread, the author solved the refresh issue by importing the Salesforce report through Power BI Desktop and then publishing it.

 

If a report is changed today, refresh it in Desktop first and check any failing Power Query step.

 

Power BI Connector for Salesforce can also use a Salesforce report as the starting point for a data source.
