Row Level Security

My Requirement is we needs to share the sematic models to users, Users can use this sematic models create reports and also they can bale to add third party source like excel and create reports but Row Level secuirty needs to work as well.

If I am giving Contributor role then user can edit security and delete Sematic Model as well.

Please advise how to achive this.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi RamiDel1508,

Thank you for reaching out in Microsoft Community Forum.

Thank you Deku for the helpful response.

To achieve your requirement—allowing users to build reports with third-party sources while enforcing RLS, but preventing them from editing/deleting the semantic model

    1. Allows users to build reports with the semantic model and add external sources (Excel) while enforcing RLS.

    2. Viewer role prevents users from modifying or deleting the semantic model.

    3. Grant Contributor access in another workspace for publishing composite model reports.

Contributor already having build access, I want to restrict Contributor to only Build and Edir Sematic Model where as Contributor can modify security and also can delete Sematic Model.

They will need contributor in another workspace to publish reports though
