Reports Missing in the Shared With Me Section

Hello everyone,

Multiple users today are finding that reports shared with them are not being displayed in the Shared With Me section of their profile on Power Bi Service. If we go into the dataset menu and select the related dataset then we can see the report. If we open the report from the dataset route it then appears in Shared with me. It also shows on the home page.

Any ideas?

    Hi DA12345

One option worth considering is that the sharing dialog has recently been changed. Now if you share by sending a link to peope in your organisation (The default) an email is sent to the recipient. The report will not show up in their "Shared with me" folder until they have clicked on the email link. This can cause concern when reports appear not to be in "Shared with me"  even thouugh they've been shared with users. They need to click on the link initially to get the Report in "Shared with me".

    Hope this helps

    Stuart

      Hi Anonymous Jay,

If a report is shared using the option People with the Link in your organization can view and share, is there a way to push that report to Shared with Me automatically like with the PBI App? The Burningsuit explained below that users have to click on the link first in order to view the report in Shared with me, but if the entire organization is thousands of people, it would make more sense to make the report available without spamming all with the report link. So is this report sharing experience a bug or should I submit an idea for that? Thank you!
