Reports - Viewer and Contributor Role
Hello,
We are structuring a new Power BI system. We are creating a workspace where we will keep reports. We want our users to open the report and they can do a copy/'save as' to their own workspace. Now the problem is Viewer role doesn't give copy/save as option and contributor role gives edit/delete option which we don't want to give. Is there a middle way?
Thanks,
Kushagra
Share via the app, not the workspace. Allow app users to make a copy (there's a checkbox for that when you update the app)

Our organization does not allow end users access to workspaces, only developers get workspace access. We share all Power BI content through Power BI apps. Using Power BI apps will make your content delivery more consistent while maximizing security and governance. It also simplifies the user experience because you just need to train them to navigate to apps.
