When I publish a report containing report filters with the option "Require Single Selection" to the Service, this option is neglected.In the Desktop it works as expected.When I change the report and reselect the option in the Service, after saving it is neglected again. You are right. It simply does not work, nothing to do with edit mode or read mode.Edit mode is just a mode to change your report, read mode, as it says, just to display the report.The "require single selection" on a report filter indeed only works in the Power BI Desktop Version, not in the webservice version.This is a serious omission and needs to be fixed as the margin for error, by accidentally selecting multiple filter values is high and gives wrong report results.I read in an earlier forum message that this was done "by design" because allowing one selection only would prove risky as to other report tab results which might lack data if only filtered on one value.This is total nonsense of course, it's simply a bug and needs to be fixed.Again, previous user claiming that it does work in Desktop version, yes, that is true, but in order to publish a report one uses the webservice in most cases and there it simply doesn't work.Also, if this was by design, why show "Require single selection" button in the webservice if it's unusable.Come on, just fix it, and whether the rest of my data on other tabs is still correct then, is my responsibility to create a correctly linked report and not something for the software to decide for me.

By my test with the report created on Power BI Desktop(Version: 2.57.5068.501 64-bit (April 2018)), I cannot reproduce your issue.

Here is my test result.

Could you show me your issue screenshoots? You could try to open your Power BI Service by other browser to check if there is still a issue.

In addition, if it is possible, you could share your sample which can reproduce the issue, so that I can test it in my environment? You can upload it to OneDrive or Dropbox and post the link here. Do mask sensitive data before uploading.)

I am having the same issue where the 'require single selection' is not published exactly as described in this post.

Additionnaly I noticed that the 'require single selection' is not saved in the original pbix-file by Power BI Desktop.

So I opened the .pbix file. Selected 'require single selection'. Saved the pbix. Closed and reopened Power BI Desktop. Reopened the pbix. The selection for 'require single selection' was gone. I tried this several times.

So it appears to be a bug in saving the file; which could also explain why it is not published to the cloud.

Power BI Desktop Version: 2.58.5103.501 64-bit
