Refresh Keeps Increasing Each Day Even When Nothing Changed
I'm having an issue with our Power BI model loaded to the Service. When I deploy the model, the refresh takes 20 minutes. The next day, it will take about 40 minutes, and the next day after that over an hour... Nothing changes at all with the data other than a few records are added. If I re-publish the .pbix, it will start over at 20 mins, 40 mins....
Trying here first to see if someone can help resolve before opening a ticket with Microsoft.
Kind Regards

Hi PowerbiGuRoo
It sounds to me like it is loading a lot more data each day which is causing this to happen.
Have you tried to implement incremental refreshing?

Hello Gilbert,
That is not the case. Data is small and only a few records a day are added. For example, if I refresh the model using the desktop and then load into the service, it only takes 20 mins to refresh, the next day it doubles, then the next day it doubles again..... It is very strange. Since there are only a few records added each night, the incremental refresh takes longer. After it takes 2 hours to refresh, I reload the model into the service where it only takes 20 minutes and then increases dramatically each day.

Hi PowerbiGuRoo
Could it be that your source system is under more load and is causing the refresh to take longer?
What happens if you schedule the refresh to run at say 11pm, how long does it take?

I've created a ticket with Microsoft and will update findings here to help others.
