Refresh error with no details
I have several datasets, all of them have exclusively Business Central data sources. In all of them, I see the following error on PowerBi.com:
There is no further details of the error, no indication of which data source is the issue. Business Central should definitely be a supported data source. I dont even see the edit credentials drop-down section anymore. Is this a bug with a new update?
Thanks,

lachlanP - Please try the below steps. Let me know if it works.
1) Download the report and doing a full refresh in PowerBI desktop. Then re-publish to the Power BI Service.
2) Now go to the dataset settings and click on edit credentials. Re-enter the credentials and refresh.Did I answer your question? Mark my post as a solution! If not, please feel free to ask me.

Hi gauthamboppana ,
Thanks for the reply.
I've refreshed and republished in PBI desktop. In the service though, I dont have an 'edit credentials' option (as seen in the picture). Unless I'm looking in the wrong place?
Thanks,

Hi lachlanP,
This happens when the data source you used, within Power BI Desktop, isn’t supported for refresh. You will need to find the data source that you are using and compare that against the list of supported data sources at Refresh data in Power BI.
If you aren’t sure what data source was used, you can find that using the following steps within Power BI Desktop.
1.In Power BI Desktop, make sure you are on the Report pane.
2.Select Transform data from the ribbon bar.
3.Select Advanced Editor.
4.Make note of the provider listed for the source. In this example, the provider is Excel.Workbook.
5.Compare the provider with the list of supported data sources found in Power BI data sources.

Hi v-yadongf-msft,
Thanks for the reply.
All of my data sources are Dynamics 365 Business Central (none are on-prem, all cloud). This is the only data source other than Excel I have ever used and have never had issues. Is this no longer a supprted data source? That seems extreemly unlikely based on Microsoft's focus on business Central and Power BI integration.

lachlanP - Are you using On-Prem data sources? Please try these below options and see if it works.
1) If its all cloud or online datasources, try selecting the below option in the Gateway settings.
2) Also, make sure you are added as a User on the gateway.Did I answer your question? Mark my post as a solution! If not, please feel free to ask me.

Thanks for the reply gauthamboppana,
All of my data sources are Dynamics 365 Business Central. I have no on-prem data sources so I have no data gateway. If you look at the pic above, those are all my options for setting on my data source on PBI service in the browser. I dont even have an option there for Gateway Settings.
