PowerBI report refresh gateway error

Hello,

 

We are running into the gateway problem for a while. Our gateway is on June version, and our powerbi reports started not to refresh through gateway. We almost tried every method, but we could not make it. 

 

Main error ise "data source error", and I want to paste the error message.

    Hi hcirak 

     

    Can you please go and check if you need to reset or put in an updated credentials AKA username and password for your data source because that appears to be what is causing the error.

        Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.

         

        Thank you for the response. Since updating the credentials did not resolve the issue, please also verify the following:

        • In Manage connections and gateways, verify that the dataset is mapped to the correct gateway and the data source.
        • On the gateway machine, check if the On-premises data gateway service is online.
        • Use Test connection for the data source in the gateway. If the test fails, the issue is between the gateway and the source, issues like network, permissions, driver or connectivity.

        If the issue still persists, please let us know what data source you are connecting to and whether all datasets using this gateway are affected or only this one.

      Hello, we checked the username and passwords, and updated it. But it didnt work.

    The error you shared indicates that the gateway is unable to access the data source.

    To help us investigate the issue, could you please share the following information?

    Does the issue occur with all reports or only a specific report?

    What is your current gateway version?

    What type of data source are you using? (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)

    Could you please share the gateway logs?

    Based on this information, we can further investigate the root cause of the issue.

      What is your current gateway version? --3000.322.4 (June 2026)

      What type of data source are you using? (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) --SQL Server, Oracle

       

      I am not sure if I can share the gateway logs, but if you wonder anything specific, I can share.
