PowerBI App for GitHub

I have a question about the PowerBI App for GitHub. I couldn't find a way to create it from PowerBI desktop, so I created it from the web portal. I have a dashboard and report now, but I need to customize it and need to do more calculation. The option to export to PowerBI desktop is greyed out, and there is no query edit for the online version. What to do from here?

    Hi yizhon,

You should be able to use the GitHub (Beta) connector to import data from GitHub with Power BI Desktop. :smileyhappy:

    Power BI

In addition, here is a good article about how to use Power BI to get GitHub Reports for your reference.

    Regards

That's not very helpful.  I am aware of the connector, but decided to use the app since that already has some calculation I need.  What is the reason to ask users to guess the calculation and reproduce?

        Hi yizhon,

As there is no a template(pbit file) for GitHub reports available currently, you may need to create the reports from scratch with Power BI Desktop to customize the data mode and do more calculations for GitHub. :smileyhappy:
