Power BI Cube
Hi everyone!
I have a semantic model published in my workspace, and I'm trying to use it in Excel.
I can connect to the model, but when I use fields from dimensions together with fields from fact tables, they don’t work as expected.
For example, if I place a date field from a fact table in the rows of my pivot table and use a date field from dim_calendar as a filter, they don’t interact properly. Filtering dates in dim_calendar does not affect the pivot table.
What could be causing this issue?
Like in a real cube you may have selected field combinations that are not supported by the semantic model's data model. Check with the developer and have them recommend suitable combinations.

Look at the arrows in your data model. Can you get there from here? Ie, is there a path between the fields that you are trying to combine? Which of the fields are from the dimension tables and which are from the fact tables?
