PBI Usage reports
Hi!
So I have recently created this usage report on Power BI Service and after saving a copy two things are happening:
1> It is not visible or accessible from the current workspace items.
2> The edit option or the download option is not available for the usage metrics report.
Has something changed as regards the usability of the usage reports? Even the semantic model is not visible or downlaodable.
I have a previous usage report in a different workspace and the edit option is available for that one.
I have admin rights on both workspaces and both are premium capacity workspaces.
Would really appreciate some help or light on this matter.

For the issues described "PBI usage report" not visible in workspace, and edit/download options not present. Please follow the recommended actions and let us know if it worked:
- Use the "View usage metrics report" from the report’s More options menu to access or create the usage report.
- Use "Save a copy" inside the usage report to create an editable report in the workspace; this copy will then appear in the workspace content and can be edited or downloaded.
- Verify workspace role permissions (admin, member, contributor) are assigned properly.
- Confirm the workspace is premium capacity, which is required for some usage report features.
- Note that the original usage report itself will not appear as a normal report item in the workspace content list.
- Understand limitations around semantic model downloads that might prevent direct downloading or visibility.

Thank you for engaging with the Microsoft Fabric Community. Microsoft has recently updated the Usage Metrics experience in Power BI Service, so the changes you’re seeing are expected.
Here are a few additional details.
1. The new usage metrics reports are system-managed, which means they won’t appear as regular reports in the workspace.
2. If you choose View usage metrics report → Save a copy, the saved report should show up in your workspace and can be edited or downloaded.
3. The underlying dataset is now managed by Power BI, so it is not directly accessible or downloadable.
Please also ensure that the necessary prerequisites are met I’ve included an image below for reference.
