Missing measures when exporting underlying data

I have a question about exporting underlying data to Excel.

 

In the past we could make an export to Excel and we not only saw the columns that were available in the visual, but also columns and measures coming from the same source table (source is an Azure database using direct query). It appears this functionality has changed somewhere in the past few months as we now only see the measures used in the visual and all columns coming from the same source table. This means we are missing the other measures available.

 

Can someone tell me if this is a changed functionality in the Power BI Service of that I might be doing something wrong?

    Hi ddekock ,

    There are two options to exxport data to Excel, the first one is on the visual level, based on my experience, this can only export teh data used in ths visual.

    Another one is analysis in Excel at PowerBI Service, it will export the full dataset.

      In this case I am talking about exporting the data from a visual. We now get all the columns that are visible within the visual and all other columns from that same table. But all the measures from that same table that are not within the visual are missing. This seems to be different from the way it worked a few months ago, when we did get the measures within the export.

        Hi Just wondering if you ever found a solution to this. My users discovered this week that the underlying data is now very high level.  They can no longer view certain fields that were there before.  Additionally, when filters are applied to the report, they would carry through to the export of the underlying data.  This is no longer the case.
