Logging on to a data source using a personal vs system account

Hi

Can someone point me at best practice for connecting to a data source using a system account?

I am currently bringing in data from a Common Data Service source, using my own personal logon.  If i want to make my reports widely available and refreshable to my organisation, presumably I should replace this login with a system account of some sort?  Forgive my lack of admin knowlege.

    Hi , ghdunn

When  they open your pbix file in their desktop , they are likely to be  denied access.

To access the data source, just provide the corresponding data source credentials (username and password, etc.).

You can assign permissions to them to access the common data source .More details about assigning additional users to pre-defined roles, please  refer to this article:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/create-database#security-model-for-the-databases
