Helper Ilimiting the Rows return based on Desktop or Service
We have a query that returns back a few years. when run locally int he dekstop version, the delay isn't too long. However, when the report is published, as the data passed through the gateway, there is a delay. I was curious if there was a way to detect its the published report and return like the last 2 years, instead of the last 10 years. Or, set a row like like 10,000.
- Hi there What you could do is to use the Parameters feature, which you could then use the parameter as a part of the query. Once you upload this to the Power BI Service, you could then modify the parameter in the Power BI Service and the next time the dataset gets refreshed it will then use the parameter. If you use import data when connecting to data source, you could take GilbertQ's advice.
with power bi parameter, you could limit rows as you expected.
