Gateway Timeouts
Hi Anonymous,
Do you use personal gateway or on-premise gateway? Please update your gateway to latest version first.
If you use on-premise gateway, you can modify two configuration files to determine the duration of a query. Within the Microsoft.PowerBI.DataMovement.Pipeline.GatewayCore.dll.config file, change the EmitQueryTraces value from False to True. This file is located, by default, at C:\Program Files\On-premises data gateway. Enabling EmitQueryTraces will begin to log queries that are sent from the gateway to a data source.
For another, within the Microsoft.PowerBI.DataMovement.Pipeline.Diagnostics.dll.config file, change the TraceVerbosity value from 4 to 5. This file is located, by default, at C:\Program Files\On-premises data gateway. Changing this setting will begin to log verbose entries to the gateway log. More details, please see the "Reviewing slow performing queries" part in this blog.
Best Regards,
Angelia
