Fabric capacity app modification
Hello,
We started leveraging fabric capacity app for both PPC and fabric capacities. While we can use lot of info it provides in our day to day we would like to make adjustments as per our need,
1. extend the look back period from 14 days to N days
2. Move the workspace from PPU to capacity to leverage Copilot. We tried this but it is giving error.
3. Create few calculations on CU utilization,
- CU for a month (i.e. 1920 CU)
- Used CU till date (i.e. 1000 as of 09/11 in Sept)
- If Used CU till date is higher then what it supposed to or lower. i.e. by 10th it should have used 30% of the month so based on the usage if it is 35% then we'd take appropriate action to increase SKU or turn on auto scale in future. This is to understand when we will need additional capacity
Did someone try this or have any suggestion on how to achieve this?

It's not possible to make changes to the semantic model automatically created by the Capacity Metrics app. None of the Power BI REST APIs return that metrics info either. It only allows you to create new visuals on top of the data and columns already provided.

To extend your look back period and have more advanced calculations on the capacity you will need to build your own report out of power BI rest APIs
