Error when creating MySQL data source in Power BI Gateway

For anyone reading this thread, the problem was resolved by rebooting the PBI Gateway Server
For anyone else with the same problem, we were in the same situation but our issue was that we hadn't signed in on the PBI Gateway on the EC2 instance. That solved it immediately.
