E-mails with refresh failed - how to know which tenant?
Hi! When working with several customers/different tenants and get an email with refresh failed I have no idea which tenant this concerns. Work as consultant. Do you have any idea how to figure this out? It would be easy for Microsoft to type the tentant name and my problem would be solved..
Hi johanolzzon_ ,
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Fabric Community.
Thank you arvindsingh802 for the prompt response.
Right now Power BI’s refresh failure emails don’t show the tenant name, so you can’t know which customer it’s for just from the message.
The easiest workaround is to include the customer name in the dataset/model name (e.g. “Financial semantic model – Company A Inc.”) as already mentioned by you. That way, the email subject will already tell you which tenant it belongs to.Since you also use different email addresses for each tenant, you can set up mailbox rules to sort the notifications into customer-specific folders. Then you will always know which customer’s refresh failed.
Between naming conventions and mail rules, you will always know which tenant the failure refers to.

Hi! No, each tenant have different e-mails. But all you get in the e-mail is a link which leads to Power BI, then you get prompted to login, but you don't which e-mail to use. I guess the only solution would be ta add a suffix to the model name like "Financial semantic model - Company A Inc."...
