Helper IDisable Analyze in Excel
Hello!
I am looking on a clear answer for removing the "Analyze in Excel" feature that we can see when using a Power BI Report via using the (...) menu top right.
I have found the below post, but it mentions in the Tenant settings: "Allow users to use Analyze in Excel with on-premises datasets"

So just to clarify, will a SQL Server with SSAS/SSIS/SSRS as a VM hosted in Azure is considered as "on-premises dataset"?
And if so, will the above mentioned tenant setting work to remove the access?

It means you installed sql server database in a virtual device who host on cloud, it also included in on-premise datasource.

It only means 'analysis in excel' requests has been block, it not affect other operations on your vm.

It means you installed sql server database in a virtual device who host on cloud, it also included in on-premise datasource.

It only means 'analysis in excel' requests has been block, it not affect other operations on your vm.

Yes this is what I meant, by setting up Admin Portal/Tenant Settings/ "Allow users to use Analyze in Excel with on-premise datasets" to No, this will remove the "Analyze in Excel" option from Power BI Reports.
Am I correct?
