Difference between Public and Private workspace
Hi Folks,
I am creating a new workspace. I came across two options in privacy- Public and Private. I am clear about the private category. But what about the public workspace. Can anyone in my organization view it? Is Power BI Pro license needed to view public workspace(or in even private workspace)?
If users have a free license and the workspace is stored in Premium (dedicated) capacity, they will be able to view and interact with the content in that workspace.
If users have a free license and the workspace is stored in shared capacity (not premium), they will not be able to see the content in shared workspace, only "My workspace".
If users have pro licence, they will be able to view and interact with the content in that workspace.

If you choose Public, anyone in your organization who has Power BI account can see what’s in the workspace. Private means only members of the workspace can see its contents.
You can't change the Public/Private setting after you've created the group.- AnonymousNot applicable
Thank you for your reply. Just 1 clarification. When you say anybody can open the workspace in the organisation, do these colleagues need to have a Pro license?
