Delay in starting dataflow's refresh

The dataflow's refresh is taking around 30-40 minutes to start.

I configured the dataflow refresh for the following times:

But the refresh always start with delay:

So it looked like this:

scheduled time | time started | delay

8:00 AM            | 8:18 AM       | 18 minutes

9:30 AM            | 10:10 AM     | 40 minutes

11:00 AM          | 11:41 AM     | 41 minutes

12:30 PM          | 12:59 PM      | 29 minutes

This type of delay seems to be normal for free users, like this post https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Service/Why-Power-BI-Services-late-to-start-refresh/m-p/2738939#M171436 ,  but I am using an embedded premium capability.

The consumption of CPU of embedded capability is nearly 60%.

I didn't find something that helped me solve it or understand why this happened in premium capability. Every help is welcome.

I didn't find any errors in the datasets, but I will investigate again in more detail. This delay in updating has been happening for several days now, constantly. Sometimes it takes longer, sometimes less, but it never starts at the configured time. I don't know if in this case it's the server. Do you know how I could check to be sure?

  • Hi,

Is anyone using the same embedded capacity in your organisation?.If yes-As per understanding it means the item refreshes or report usage on those workspaces are causing it.

Hi, thanks for the comment. Only I am using the capacity in just 1 workspace. There are 3 dataflows, the largest of which has 27 tables that are loaded. The largest table has approximately 10 million rows. These dataflows feed 5 different reports.
