Datamart stuck on "Power query processing"

I'm transforming data in the datamart and when I click save, it gets stuck in the "Power query processing" stage for a long time. Then after a while, the "Return to editing" button becomes clickable. If I click on it, I lose my changes, but it doesn't show any error messages. I don't know what failed.

      I made a new Datamart and it is working.

    Experiancing the same issue and is causing huge obsticals to the productivity of the work day. If anyone has any insight into how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated. 

    I have a hunch though and am about to put it to the test. If it is correct I'll post the response here.
