Dataflow insists on 4 connections for the scheduler even though there is only one connection needed. I think this is because there is a 4 queries connected by union statements in the select state...

Please provide more details.
May I know whether you are using ODBC connector to connect your data source to create a dataflow. If so, What is your data source ? If your meaning is using Union to connect 4 tables and change them to one table?
"Only one connection required in the scheduler" , does it mean there are four gateways need to configure under 4 data sources?
