Dataflow error connection Business Central Cloud
Anyone else seeing intermittent "Data source credentials are missing or invalid" errors with the Business Central connector in Power BI?
Since 14th of October, we've seen Dataflows and semantic models using Dynamics365BusinessCentral fail to refresh, both in our own tenant and across several customer tenants. Nothing has changed on accounts, permissions or environments.
What we're seeing:
🔹 Some tables in the same dataflow succeed while others fail in the same run
🔹 Failed tables error out after roughly 30 seconds, so it doesn't look like token expiry on long-running refreshes
🔹 Often the next scheduled refresh runs fine without any changes
🔹 Re-entering credentials helps on some dataflows, but not all
We haven't found anything on the Fabric status page or Known Issues yet, and we have opened a case with Microsoft.
If you're seeing the same, I'd love to hear about it, especially if you've found a workaround or have a Microsoft case or incident number.
Thanks!

We also have still issues with the Credentials.

Our overnight scheduled refreshes worked fine, which is encouraging. We'll check the remaining refreshes scheduled for this morning and share an update.

Our updates seems to be updating correctly again. Also checked some of our customers and their dataflows also updates as expected.

Do you guys still have the same issue? I am still not able to connect to the Data Source:

Our overnight scheduled refreshes completed successfully, although we’re still checking this morning’s runs. You could try a manual refresh before making any further credential changes, as that worked intermittently for us. If the issue persists, I’d suggest updating your Microsoft support case and referencing the incident reported on the Fabric support page.

An update for everyone affected: Microsoft’s Fabric support page now shows a resolved incident for refresh failures with the Dynamics 365 Business Central connector in Europe. This appears consistent with the symptoms discussed here.
We still need to verify that our scheduled refreshes are working reliably again. Has anyone received details from Microsoft about the root cause or whether any action is required on our side?

An answer from Microsoft:
"Thank you very much for your detailed response and for sharing the additional examples, timestamps, Request IDs, Activity IDs, and the impact observed across your customer tenants. We have collected these details and appreciate the time you have taken to provide them.We would like to inform you that we have received multiple issues with the same nature involving the Dynamics 365 Business Central connector, affecting Power BI Dataflows, and semantic model refreshes and our Product Group team is already aware of the behavior and is actively working on the issue. An internal incident has also been created for this scenario.
At this stage, we kindly request that you continue to monitor the refresh behavior. Please be assured that we are treating this matter as a priority and are continuously monitoring the internal investigation for further progress."

I just received an answer from Microsoft regarding my ticket but not a solution yet. They do confirm this: "We have received similar issue from other users. To investigate your case and correlate it properly, please share the following details:"
They also asked me to test connection in Power BI Desktop and yes, the same error is shown.
My reply has just been sent so I'll wait for an answer and let the community know when I get some updates from Microsoft. - simonefraquelli

Thank you for sharing this! I've been scratching my head trying to figure out what's causing the issue.
Power BI Desktop is also affected. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
