Data Source Error while configuring Gateway

Question

Hi,I am new to power bi and came accross that configuring gateway is one of the important task, could you please help me with the mention below error message.&nbsp;This happened when i chosen folder and then given path for the datasource i.e. my excel file&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Unable to connect:&nbsp;We encountered an error while trying to connect to . Details: "We could not register this data source for any gateway instances within this cluster. Hi&nbsp;mohammedkhan&nbsp;,Does the Gateway and PowerBI desktop on the same machine?&nbsp;Please make sure you enter correct user name and password when adding Excel data source, here is a similar thread, please refer to it:&nbsp;https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Power-Query/Scheduled-refresh-for-excel-file-with-on-premise-gateway/td-p/104363Best Regards,Teige

Yes The Gateway and the Datasource are both in the same System, i am entering the Local System Administrator User Name and Password
