Data source error: Expression.Error: We cannot convert the value "[Table]" to type Table.. Microsoft
I have a semantic model that works as expected in Power BI desktop. It WAS refreshing as expected in the Power BI service, but after some minor additions it now is throwing an error on refresh:
Data source error: Expression.Error: We cannot convert the value "[Table]" to type Table.. Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ErrorCode = 10277. Value = [Table]. . The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: <table name>.

I can't seem to figure out what is causing the error to remediate it. Every appears to be working in Desktop.
Any suggestions?
Its due to Privacy level of your data source, update the web privacy level same as your desktop file and you should be good.

I have the same issue. My Model is refreshing inside the Desktop App and with my Test Data, when i use the whole data for updating my model in web service it gives me the error code Microsoft.Data.Mashup.ErrorCode = 10277 wit thr expression "Can not convert null to type logical" Inside the table i replaced all nulls already with the number "0" but it doesn't work. Also the privacy levels are the same
You would be having blank rows at bottom of your source file
Would suggest to add one step in your power query as remove null, and you should be good

in fact, the error message from PBI isn't clear at all (likely because it's casting tables/list values to string before passing them to the formula using them to conform privacy levels).
That was a great insight. I've adjusted my data source privacy settings to be and it seems to be refreshing. I'll keep an eye on it to see if the scheduled refresh keeps working. Marking as the solved for now!
it somehow doesn't work. I applied the step to every table. And this also happen with a table that is a reference table of a different one where all the calculation and merge is happening and I'm then just reference it to hide all the unused data and combine it into my fact table. I'm clueless at this Point
