Data gateway extension "cannot be added"

Hi,   I have built a report using the connector to Microsoft Azure Consumption Insights. I am able to refresh the data manually using Power Bi Desktop, but I am wanting to automate the data refresh...

I'd like to suggest you use Azure Cost Management connector... (I don't think power bi will add gateway datasource support for beta connectors)

That's in beta as for me as well.

Additionally, we are an EA user, and although the page linked to states it's available for EA users, using our EA number as the billing ID doesn't result in a connection - Power BI Desktop states "TenantId: Failed to discover tenantsBillingAccountId: Failed to discover tenants". Previous posts https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Desktop/Using-new-Azure-Cost-Management-Connector-issues-with-Account-ID/td-p/645034/page/2 indicate that advice from Microsoft advised using the Microsoft Azure Consumption Insights connector.
